Underseeding cover crops into standing crops has been a huge success across many farms this year. Using the down draft of the propellers to help the seed reach the ground to germinate after the next rain fall. The standing crop then helps protect the new seeds so they get established before the harvest takes place 2 to 4 weeks after. This allows the land to be constantly covered and gives the farmer the opportunity to claim a SFI (Sustainable farming incentive).
