Greenhouse Shading

An age old problem of how to apply shading paint safely to the roof of a greenhouse has now been solved using drone technology.

A fast and safe option is to hire a drone spraying contractor to do the job 5 times faster than sending 3 people balancing precariously on the roof to walk the gully’s spraying each glass panel manually. What would normally take 3 days or even weeks to complete can now be done in a matter of hours. Our XAG P100 Pro drones can easily cover a one hectare surface area in less than one hour. Shading is completed in April & May before the hot summer days arrive, protecting your plants and maximizing the available sunlight. At the end of the summer we simply call back and remove the paint so the winter months can allow maximum light and warmth from the sun. Spraying shading paint by drone is a tried and tested method used by many plant nurseries and growers across the UK.

    Precision drones applying shading paint to green houses in East Yorkshire

    Precision drones attended sites across East Yorkshire during April and May to apply ReduHeat shading paint across the roofs of each wide span green house. With one hectare of glass covered in one hour, we can make a health and safety nightmare turn into a safe hassle free experience.

    Our ground staff take care of the paint mixing and refilling the drone. The windows are closed during the operation so we need to act fast to prevent crop damage.

    Later in the year we will be back to remove the paint using RemoVit cleaning agent. This will allow sunlight and heat to get into the green houses during the cold winter months.
